End of the School Year Notices

Thank you for taking courses with SVHS. Please note our new Transcript process:

Transcripts—we have moved to the industry standard, trusted platform of Parchment to send official transcripts; the delivery time for an electronic copy is 24-72 hours, and costs $5.90. A transcript reports ALL courses you have taken with us and those still in progress. Your Final Exam date determines the semester we report the course on your transcript. Our semester dates may differ from your regular school.

BEFORE Requesting a Transcript—Don’t order a transcript from Parchment before generating a Student Course Report from here. The report will be immediately emailed to the email address in your user account. Check the report and ensure all information is accurate:

• If your date of birth is missing or wrong, use the Edit Profile link from the pull-down menu, by your name, in the top right-hand corner of this page to add or correct it. 
•  If your full name has any errors, use the Ask a Question link on the Dashboard to request a correction.
  
• Review the course information listed on the report. If you want to drop an incomplete course or have questions, contact us using the Ask a Question link on your dashboard.
• Use the Student Course Report to show you have completed your course while you wait for Parchment to deliver your official transcript. Note, the Student Course Report is NOT a transcript. Only an official transcript can be used for credit transfer.
• Check your spam folder before contacting us if you cannot find the Student Course Report in your inbox.
  

What to know about Parchment—your Parchment account must match the information in your SVHS account. Parchment orders may take 2-3 days to process. To track a Parchment order, log in to your Parchment account and check for updates.

End of Semester Reminders:

Grading Assignments—at the end of a semester, grading can take over 7 days. Best practice is to submit assignments as you finish each unit. If you need to complete your course before the end of the Spring semester, we recommend you get all assignments submitted as soon as possible. Assignments are graded in the order they are received. You cannot complete the course and generate your transcript until all assignments are graded.

Language Courses—students taking Spanish and ASL courses, please note that the Zoom Meetings at the end of the semester are very busy. You may find the meetings are too full, and you can’t get in. Be prepared to wait in the waiting room as the teacher works with all the attendees. The meeting schedule is posted on the relevant Unit Assignment and will be updated regularly. Plan to attend the meeting as soon as possible.

About the Assignments

• All assignments are required.
• Incomplete assignments will be returned to you for you to complete.
• Do your assignments as you finish the unit and before taking the unit test.
• Sharing an image, audio, or video on a shared drive - set permissions to 'anyone with a link.'
• Uploading a video - use YouTube, make it 'unlisted,' and share the YouTube URL with your teacher.
• Cite your sources.
